The story of The three bears: metrically related: with illustrations locating it at Cecil Lodge in September 1831 by Eleanor Mure.

This handmade book by Eleanor Mure is considered the earliest written version of the traditional English story of “The Three Bears.” Mure created a unique ending in which the bears, failing in their attempts to burn or drown the unwelcome intruder, toss her onto “St. Paul’s church-yard steeple.”
