Silver-gelatin print. 5.7 x 8.7 cm.
TPL (TRL) E 1-9p

The "Old Fort" was reconstructed on the waterfront site of the first fort captured by the Americans in 1813. There were brick barracks for the soldiers and their families, officers quarters and a powder magazine. In 1841, a larger "New Fort" was built to the west to house the British troops garrisoned in Toronto. The fort was used until the 1930s as a garrison and training depot. Today it is a museum.
