Oil on canvas
“This oil painting is one of the originals from Who Goes to the Park a book which was published in 1984. The book is a celebration of Toronto’s High Park and represented by the multicultural aspect of Canada.
Since I started to work in Canada I myself have changed. Instead of just painting in the studio, I have come to realize that spending time outdoors, where I bathe myself in nature until I feel saturated with its breath, is more valuable to me. Over the years it has brought me easiness and peace of mind, expanded my imagination and strongly encouraged me to be creative. These new feelings of communication with nature became a fundamental aspect of eight picture books I produced in Canada, all of which were created with the imagination inspired by the natural environment around me.
